We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client's Professional Services team.
This is a senior, client-facing role responsible for supporting and improving cloud-based data platforms for enterprise customers. You will own production data pipelines, models, and operational processes while acting as a trusted technical adviser.
You will work with customers, internal delivery teams, Google, and engineering stakeholders to resolve complex data challenges and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Build and Operate Data Solutions
- Develop and maintain automated pipelines using Python, SQL, BigQuery, and orchestration tools.
- Support data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and reporting.
- Monitor production platforms and resolve reliability, performance, and data-quality issues.
- Lead root-cause analysis and implement lasting fixes.
Support Customers
- Translate customer requirements into clear technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Manage escalations and coordinate fixes with engineering teams.
- Participate in customer reviews and represent the company with clients, Google, and technology partners.
Improve Delivery and Team Capability
- Maintain technical documentation and repeatable managed-services processes.
- Promote consistent engineering standards and identify operational improvements.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and technical decisions.
Requirements
Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production data engineering solutions.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure, (GCP strongly preferred).
- Experience supporting production data pipelines, platforms, and models.
- Previous experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Technical Experience
- Strong Python skills, including developing pipelines and automating data workflows.
- Strong SQL skills, preferably including BigQuery SQL and large datasets.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data ingestion, transformation, storage, and data wrangling.
- Experience with Python tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Apache Airflow.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting data models for analytics and reporting.
- Experience monitoring pipeline reliability, data quality, and performance.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis across complex data systems.
- Experience with Git and modern version-control practices.
- Experience with Power BI, Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, or a comparable analytics platform.

- Deep production experience with GCP and BigQuery.
