About the Role

Our client partners with leading brands to translate behavioral insights into action, enabling smarter decisions and stronger outcomes at the point of purchase. In this role, you'll be part of a small, senior IT team supporting a growing, cloud-first organization. The role is hands-on and operational, with responsibility across identity, security, cloud infrastructure, and core IT systems. You'll have real ownership and influence over how systems are run and improved, serving as primary owner for some platforms and backup owner for others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operation and ongoing improvement of identity and access management platforms, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, and Duo
  • Oversee endpoint protection and security technologies such as CrowdStrike, device management platforms, and email security tools
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services with a focus on security, reliability, and best practices
  • Build, maintain, and enhance Azure cloud environments, covering subscriptions, access controls, networking, and compute resources
  • Manage core network and perimeter services, including firewalls, VPN connectivity, and routing configurations
  • Maintain and improve backup, restore, and disaster recovery capabilities to ensure realistic and reliable recovery outcomes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Security, and Operations teams on vendor selection, contract management, and renewals
  • Proactively assess systems to reduce operational risk, technical debt, and single points of failure
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for systems, ownership, and operational procedures to support continuity and audit preparedness

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience working in IT operations, infrastructure, or cloud-focused engineering roles
  • Strong depth in one or more of the following domains:
    • Identity, authentication, and security tooling (such as Entra ID, Okta, MFA, endpoint protection)
    • Cloud platforms and network architecture, including Azure environments, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and resiliency planning
  • Demonstrated experience running and maintaining live, mission-critical systems
  • Ability to take full responsibility for systems throughout their lifecycle, from design through ongoing operations
  • Level-headed, analytical approach to incident handling and system changes
