About the role
The client is looking for an experienced Deltek ERP Administrator / Business Systems Analyst to assume full internal ownership of their Deltek Vantagepoint system. This position will bring Deltek administration in-house, shifting responsibility away from external consultants to a dedicated internal owner. Working closely with Finance, HR, and Operations, the role will lead system configuration, reporting, documentation, and ongoing process and system improvements. It is a true ownership role, focused on delivery and optimization rather than support or helpdesk functions.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary administrator and owner of Deltek Vantagepoint, responsible for full system configuration including project/WBS structures, billing and revenue recognition rules, labor codes, expense workflows, approvals, security roles, and user access.
- Manage system changes, testing, releases, and upgrades, ensuring controlled deployment and system stability.
- Partner closely with Finance, HR, and Operations to translate business requirements into Deltek configurations and operational processes.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and audit activities, ensuring system readiness and data accuracy.
- Maintain, enhance, and support standard and custom Deltek reports for financial, project, and operational reporting needs.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across all reporting and system processes.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce operational friction through system and process improvements.
- Document system configurations, business rules, process flows, and change history; maintain system knowledge base.
- Lead knowledge transfer from external consultants, progressively reducing reliance on external support while escalating complex or edge-case issues when required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience administering Deltek systems (Vantagepoint preferred; Costpoint or Vision also acceptable).
- Proven experience owning and managing Deltek within an operating company environment.
- Strong knowledge of project-based accounting and professional services billing models.
- Demonstrated experience supporting finance teams through month-end and close cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Availability and flexibility to work partial US business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Deltek implementations or leading major system reconfigurations.
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or reporting tools.
- Exposure to Power BI or similar analytics platforms.
- Proven experience transitioning ERP system ownership from external consultants to internal teams.
