Overview: Our US-based MSP client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Network Administrator to provide advanced network support and management for their clients' IT infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with managing client networks, including Fortinet equipment, Windows systems, and Linux servers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 3 technical support for network infrastructure, including troubleshooting and maintaining Windows systems and Linux servers.
Support and configure Fortinet networking equipment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and network reliability.
Manage, monitor, and optimize client networks, ensuring connectivity and performance meet client requirements.
Handle escalations from Level 1-2 support and assist with more advanced network troubleshooting and resolution.
Respond to complex network management requests, including the setup and configuration of network devices, firewall management, and VPNs.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver network solutions tailored to client-specific needs.
Participate in the on-call rotation (2-person rotation), providing after-hours support for urgent network issues.
Ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and provide timely updates to clients.
Maintain detailed documentation of network issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in ticketing systems.
Continuously improve technical knowledge by staying up to date with new network tools, best practices, and industry developments.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet networking equipment and network infrastructure management.
Proficient in Windows 10 and Linux server environments.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in network environments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Strong communication skills, particularly in phone-based support.
Flexibility to participate in the on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with endpoint protection platforms like SentinelOne (EDR) and knowledge of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solutions, such as BlackPoint Cyber.
Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
Familiarity with Office 365 management (nice to have).
Previous experience in a managed services provider (MSP) environment.
